Do I do visitations? attend conferences? respond to email?
Sometimes. Possibly. Yes.
I know there are authors and illustrators who crisscross the country visiting schools, signing books, and attending conferences, but if you read my "About the Author" page, you know that being a writer is only a small part of my life. Also, I am retired, along with my husband, and we likely are going to be traveling. Therefore, I am, often, not available for such activities.
Previous visitations have included the Oneida Indian Nation's Children and Elders Center, numerous middle schools and high schools, SUNY Cortland's DATE (Discussions About the Teaching of English) Conference, and many libraries.
So, yes, I am willing to undertake such activities. It just depends.
