Inspired by and dedicated to my students, this young adult novel tells the story of fifteen-year-old PJ Barnes. Feeling harassed by everyone from the school bully to his parents and teachers, he finds himself faced with difficult decisions, some of which push him deeper into trouble but, ultimately, help him discover who he really is. It received a 2009 YALSA nomination for Best Books for Young Adults.
